Dear Friends, Customers and Colleagues

As the sole owner and operator of Luzzara Coffee Bar for the last 2 ½ years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with and get to know a lot of great people. As many of you may know, Top Gear Scooters closed their business officially a few months ago. Recently, the landlord informed me that they would prefer to lease the main floor of the building as a whole to one tenant and I was notified that my lease would not be renewed past August, So, with much consideration and sadness I have decided to close Luzzara as of Sunday July 17, 20011.

While this decision was incredibly difficult to make I firmly believe that this change will be a positive one. I have been offered the opportunity to work with Caffe Tech (the distributor of Danesi coffee) working on updating their website and helping to build their service department. This will also allow me time to pursue other exciting opportunities and take a much needed break.

I will continue to work as member of the Old Strathcona Business Association until the end of my term; I also plan to continue working with the businesses of East Whyte Ave to assist in promoting this unique, independent and fast growing shopping area. Eventually, I do plan on looking for a new location for Luzzara.
